I have a few minor dings to fill and recessed screwheads to cover in some mahogany planking. What filler would you suggest using, the planking is dry ish (been out of the water for a while).

I guess it wants to be something a little bit flexible (not Epoxy or polyester based), or maybe for very small fills it doesn't matter.

Apologies if this has been asked before.

For small things I use white lead. Bigger things tend to get plugs or graving pieces.

Well there is that of course,

Red and white lead available from John at trad boats. Got to say I've used red under the water well but not got into the White for the topsides as I don't want to fare it by sanding.

If once you're done applying the red or white lead then a quick swipe with a putty knife dipped in linseed oil should leave it fair enough to avoid sanding. Or at least keep sanding to an absolute minimum.
