Geldorf\'s Gold

We are all called to do our duty and sail to France, picking up a crew of unknowns for importation to the UK.
We have an extensive list of eastern Europeans anxious for berths. They will pay £7000 each with a premium for those with convictions or failed asylum status.

Having measured by 32 footer, I reckon to fit two persons per bunk, three if they are small, plus others alongside the engine casing and in the cockpit, none on deck 'cos that would be dangerous.

Being conservative, call it 18 @ £7k per head = £126,000 for the round trip, further weight saving is gained by them carrying no documentation whatsoever - this is picked up on arrival from Chalkie, who operates from behind a portakbin in Wapping.

Sir Bob has arranged an amnesty with the Immigration lot, but he hasn't told them yet, but it will be alright.

What a cracking idea Bob, can we make it an annual event?

Sir Bob is clearly a graduate of the John Prescott School of Stategic Thinking.

Re: Geldorf\'s Gold

If you can get 26 students in a Mini, then I reckon I can get about 400 into an Oyster 72, which at your quoted 7k a pop, will fund itself, and a nice few years floting around after, all for a single fling over the oggin and return. Splendid plan, don't let Horace the Revenuer know the plan or he might want his wedge too.
Now then what options shall I go for?

Perhaps I should order a fleet of them to keep in Wellington Dock at Dover. After all they aren't looking for the blighters round the back in the marina - they are too busy searching those smelly trucks. Call it Asailum or summat like that.

Re: Geldorf\'s Gold

And are we supposed to sail our French friends home again?

If they're all so desperate to get over here as Sir Bob insists, I'm sure they won't mind shelling out a few Euros to jump on the Pride of Normandy...
