I've never tried colouring it though but understand the technique is to add a small amount of pigment to it before the hardener. There are videos of how to do it on YouTube.

If you are going to chase out the legs of a spider crack then probably best to use gel coat. For little chips and air voids, the filler will do just that - fill.
