In the process of buying new yacht, new to me. It is fitted with Gebo hatches that appear to be very simple in their operation and although the perspex is crazed, still functional. I have looked at the available info on the web and can't find the type of hatch fitted. 2 legs either side that sit in holes. I would wish to replace the perspex whilst she is on the hard, can any one out their help with some info on any companies in the Gosport area or shed any light on Gebo replacements.

Many thanks

The joy of these forums, like going into an old hardware shop filled from floor to ceiling with god knows what, but they have it and more importantly can tell you what to do with it. ( Compliment boys, compliment)

Savageasadog, thanks, not down till the weekend so no rush, but could be very useful.
Thanks Talbot. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have GEBO hatches on mine. They are very common on French boats and I found the swinderlerys in Cherbourg, St Malo and La Rochelle all keep spares in stock.

Must be someone over here that stocks the bits..... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My boat has Gebo hatches. I am fitting new perspex over the winter and have removed 1 as a pattern. The old perspex is not difficilt to remove, it is held in using silicone sealant, I plan to use the same. My projected cost for 4 hatches is around £250.

Re: Gebo Hatches UK distribution

To find the UK distributor write to wmaaneman@gebo.com. I have Gebo hatches but I've forgotten who represents them, it might be E C Smith, but anyway an email to Wim Maaneman will get you a response.

If I remember who it is I'll edit the mail.
