Could you help me about the gearbox on my volvo 2003 (1992)
I live in Belgium and the only solution to repare the deficient splines between the motor and the gearbox, is (according to the Belgian motorists) to exchange the gearbox!!!!!
Don't you know another way to repare this system ?
Thank you for the answers !

yes - two friends of mine have mended the gearbox themselves quite easily using parts bought from a uk supplier.

iif you pm your e mail address, i will ask one of them to reply to you

Yes, don\'t worry...

You don't have to replace the gearbox. DB Marine have a sound engineering solution which is (relatively) inexpensive. They've modified a lot of Volvo gearboxes, and their work seems to be reliable.

Depending on your level of mechanical ability, this may not be a do-it-yourself job, so you may need to use a marine engineer to install the new components.
