I have a Vetus fly by wire throttle system and the solid gearbox selector cable sheared off within the sheath so a replacement is required. Vetus want about £100 with a 4 week lead time and others of a similar 'Description' are available from UK chandlers
for around £35.

Does anyone have any experience with these kind of control cables? The old cable was solid and well routed with no bends or kinks but sheared so wondering if I'm better going for a multistrand, are Vetus just hiking up their prices and riding on their name, are teleflex any good?

Thanks in advance.
