Teaching on a nice Sessa Yesterday and we were doing bumps and grinds on the owners berth , the Port throttle felt a bit floppy and awkward to find neutral but the owner said it was like that when he got the boat. Oh well thinks I they all have there funny little way's perhaps we should get an engineer to have a look was my suggestion next thing you know it's come off it's spindle.
Client looks at me and say's not sure what to do with this my suggestion was perhaps I should plonk the boat alongside a nice pontoon on our starboard side, then we can have a go at it with the hammer and shout at it until it is fixed.
A small screw holding the gear lever on the spindle had come loose , for those of you who have the old type Volvo gear leavers it might be worth checking them now and again.
