Just got back from my trip to the channel islands(Alderney), was delayed in Gatwick (5hours), so sitting with nothing to do my mind started to wander to "The best of the best" stand....Yes i thought Princess 65... 65 pound a ticket mmm.
Right we have the boat, how do we get it in..Take of glass dome roof, will probably just fit width ways, positioning all important for sales.......ok, put bathing platform into Harrods(nobody shops there anyway)bulk of boat will sit outside Travel shop...perfect.....
Only one problem as i see....at 65quid a ticket how many tickets do they have to sell,Any body want to buy a ticket??
I saw the new approach light to Alderney, very nice.....read in the local paper harbour dues are going up from 10 to 12quid per night, i guess to pay for the new light.
What else.Oh yes, i understand from reading the Guernsey press that all boat owners have been asked to keep a look out for dodgy!! characters that might be involved in drug smuggling( on the increase) nothing new there then..
On a good note the weather was to me almost tropical and cheap beer!!!
Well back home 6.50 a beer, minus 12 and 1.5mtrs of snow......First job dig out car followed by boat........
I would like to take this oppurtunity to say Hello to Depsol who i spoke to on the phone and hopefully we will meet in the future..
