Does anyone know if Gaslow regulators with the leak gauge are Lloyds approved?

If that is the right question, I am trying to find out if they are recognised as an acceptable safety device by insurance companies.

I have one, it is insurance renewal time so am trying to get around not living with false security of a sniffer. On our boat we use common sense and do not have the gas on unless it is being used. In harbour this means the tap in the galley but at sea the bottle is off.

We do sometimes have problems turning it on at the beginning of the weekend, have learnt to turn the bottle valve very slowly at first to allow the flow to equalise. I guess this means it is working as an anti leak device, but I guess only on a catastrophic failure.

But it does also easily detect a small leak using the same method as a bubble tester, turn on, switch off, maintained pressure for 60 seconds, it does work as I have very gently released a hob valve and the dial goes straight into the red.

I really don't want to install sniffers, I don't want to feel safe.
