Gas Test Point

Any one know where I can buy a T-shaped gas test point to fit a 3/16" diameter gas pipe??

I've been waiting for my local Calor Gas shop to get one in for weeks and now they tell me they've never stocked them nor do they intend to! Great!

This is the final job I need to do in order to get a BSS Certificate.

Sorry can't help with your quest, but it's good to learn that Calor Gas customer service has improved so much!...a couple of years ago they mainly ignored customers altogether!

You can get various kinds from ASAP Supplies. They stock 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" and cost between about £3 and £6 but they don't list 3/16". I've found them very helpful so might be worth a call to them - you can get them on 0845 1300 870 or at www.asap-supplies.com.

Ohhh that's an ickle pipe - are you sure it's 3/16" (4.75mm) ?

Thanks for the ASAP tip - I rang them and they pointed out it's the OUTSIDE diameter of the pipe I should be measuring, not the inside!

So I got my ruler out and lo, t'was a quarter of an inch!

Nipped down to my local Calor shop and they had one in stock - £2.30!
