Who is the best supplier for auto switching gas regulators.
I have both Calor Butane and Camping Gaz on board, but at the moment this is a manual job of changing the whole regulator.
I have heard there are autoswitching from empty to full bottle.

Anyone any clues?

Thanks.

You can tell the winter boat jobs list is being compiled then.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You'll need a bulk head mounted regulator and adaptors for the campming gas bottles. If you cann ot find what you want on the gaslow site take a look at the Calromarine shop website . they are not famous for their low prices though. Lok at the Boat fittings page

BES prices are a fraction of Calor. I am assured that all the stuff they sell is perfectly good though.

This Gaslow unit looks good, any opinions?

Thanks Vic, the BES prices for a changeover are excellent, but they dont seem to do the in cabin visual indicator of the Electra. But at 50 quid saving, its worth looking at.

I got the gaslow manual changeover as I do not like the auto changeover as you could runout of gas without knowing hence the cabin indicator. The changeover unit is very good quality but I dont think the pressure gauge would be very effective in indicating what is left in the cylinder.

I have an arrangement where I require 2 different pressures, High for my BBQ and normal 28mbar for cooker / water heater.

My arrangement is 2 HP regulators on the cylinders with gaslow pressure gauge between cylinder and reg. Manual low pressure changeover switch from gaslow to bubble tester the tee to BBQ and to 28mbar reg for rest.

I also recomend BES as VicS indicates as I went there when I was in UK sept 2005. (has already got Gaslow before I went to BES

This is my arrangment
