Sorry for cross posting in Thames but anyone know where i can get a camping gas refill in central London? Or possibly even less likely - get a US style bottle filled?

TIA

There are a few trendy outdoor shops at Covent Garden but I couldn't say whether or not they would stoop to selling anything so mundane as gas.

Not central London, but someone must be supplying gas to the houseboat dwellers at Chelsea, Paddington and St Katherine's Dock.

Google throws up the following:

Cheers guys, I did actually did spend some time with mr google but obviously need more practice :) There's a Blacks close by, but do they really do the yachty size bottles? A phone call in the morning will decide. otherwise it's starbucks and takeaways.....

South dock didn't have any gas bottles when I was there last year and directed me to a dig shop on deptford high street which had a couple. If you're on dry land the easiest place I've found is the calor centre in bow who have the full range of calor and camping gaz. Not sure about refils but you could ask.

If you're on the water the fuel barge outside st kats - callsign heiko - has camping gaz also

Sorted. For anyone searching CAMPING GAS LONDON ST KATS in the future, I called up the fuel dock on 0207 481 1774 and a bloke came up to St Katherines pier (right next to tower bridge, downstream) in a little workboat with a full r907 cylinder for 21 quid.

Don't you think 21 quid is a rip-off Paddy ?

I buy a 15 Kg Calor Bottle for £27 & refill my Camping Gaz 907 which holds 2.7Kg for £4.86. The refilling equipment (Calor & Gaz adaptors + 1.5m pressure hose) cost about £25 from BES.

PM me if you want the full instructions !

Definite rip off in terms of money, but for 1/2 hour between phone call and being able to make a cup of coffee at home I'm not complaining :)

Though glad you pointed out BES. Looks like they may do the nozzles so I can fill the bigger US bottles.
Anyone know what nozzle I need to ask for to fit one of these? http://www.budgetmarine.com/catalog...ne+Cylinders/Composite+Cylinders/product.aspx
