My boat is in France and it is expected to be remaining in France for a long time. It is fitted with four 3.9kg Propane bottles. Two of which are connected with a switchover facility. I understand I cannot simply replace these bottles with French gas bottles using my current UK fittings. I am currently in the UK. Can anyone advise me what adaptors I need to facilitate the use of French gas bottles (presumably Camping Gas)
Thanks
Graham

If you are going to use camping gaz just go to the local Hypermarche and buy a GAZ regulator and bottle.
Reg is cheap 10 - 20 E a new gaz bottle ouch 150 -200 E.

Assuming your gas hose it a rubber pipe held onto the current reg with a jubilee clip just undo the hose and fit it to your new reg.
Your appliances should not be sensitive to the chance but best to double check first.

If you are going out from the UK by car try and get an old / used cylinder cheap in the UK , you can then exchange it for a refill at said Hypermarche for about 30- 40 E

This is the adapter that will convert a camping gas cylinder to take the POL type of connector used for propane.

However if you have a 37 mb propane regulator it may not be that simple. You will probably have to change that to a butane regulator or a 30mb dual fuel regulator. If that is the case an ordinary camping gas adapter will be required
Either this one to 21'8 LH butane thread

Or this one to an M20 thread

See elsewhere on the Socal website for regulators hoses etc

See also this website http://www.whayward.com/

Hopefully your appliances are suitable for use with butane ?
