Gas Hob

One of my burners on my spinflo gas hob has packed up. Spinflo are being less than helpful.
does anyone know where I can buy a new 2 burner hob or get spares for the one I have??

It is a Spinflo H 2 0 0 F - 13 B/P - S/N 9600137 if that helps !!!

Hi, What can pack up on a gas burner? Never heard of that!

Is it the flame fail device? that maybe simple to repair. Contrary to common believe, these things are not a bi-metal. These are thermocouples, he tip of two dissimilar metals produces a voltage and thus a current when heated. This current holds an electromagnet (formed by a coil and plunger) while the tip is hot, usually a bad electrical connection where the little cooper pipe attaches is at fault. Clean it carfuly an assemble again without over thightening it all.

You can test te thermocouple by measuring the voltage between cooper shiled and core with a digital voltmeter while warming up the tip of the thermo couple. Voltage is only less then 1Volt if remember.

I guess you've tried Leisure Spares and Miriad Products, details listed here. If they can't help, you could trawl the caravan spares shops. And if all else fails, you could get a new Spinflo hob the same size as yours from here.

Something wrong with the button that you press down to turn it on - no gas comes out

That is a little bit of dirt, corrosion or a lose connection, See my Post above.

I have a 2 burner Plastimo hob. It has served well and still available at a good price, as most of Plastimo items it seems well made.
