o.k, my motor boat is only 20ft so to small for proper heating and with a good standing room and at about 5ft by 6/6ft it to big for the flebay 12v heater plug in heater which would drain from batteries!!
..a caravan gas heater? yes lots ventilation and produces moisture etc..

My question is, are there any Regs i have to follow? I'd only be using a small 4.5kg bottle fitted into an outside aft locker so a good 5ft away from the heater.
But what about the heater it's self any Regs there and where i'm fitting it???

Many thanks

oh i know....got what i wanted out of it though!!

sometimes the problem with forums, everyone has their own Opinion on the matter ...you just need to take out of it whats useful to you!

I use dto have a 20ft cabin boat and bought and used a Cat heater with a disposable colemans cartridge. It worked really well.

Recommend the Mr Buddy portable heater fired by disposable cartridges or by hose from a propane cylinder, much cheaper.
It comes with CO2 and fall-over cutoffs too.
No Regs maybe but it doesn't hurt to be safe . . .

My experience is that the moisture output of a catalytic heater is by no means excessive. My boat originally came with one, I took it out to install Eberspacher and put the heater in a camper van, where it was also good. I can't say we ever noticed more condensation than resulted from up to four people breathing.
