Gas Fittings for Spain/Portugal

I will be cruising Spain and Portugal for several months this year and am concerned about refilling my existing gas bottles or getting replacements that will connect to my fitting. Currently have a 4.5Kg blue Butane bottle with the standard screw fitting and I'm wondering whether I need to change this setup for something else.

All advice appreciated.

I had 13kg blue calor, but changed them for propane calor before i left the UK, I have no problems getting them refilled.

Local ironmongers, (ferreteria) in Portugal and Spain have the regulators, they are the same regs for both countries, however, the cylinders are very slightly different. Cylinders can be purchased cheap from flea markets.

You could get a camping gaz cylinder and a "Gaz connecting tap" which will save you changing any pipework.

camping gaz is much less expensive in both spain and portugal than uk/france.last season approx8euros for a 4.5 kg container.expect non proprietary butane/propane even better value

We too just stick to Campimg gaz now, in Sp/Pt at €8, but we had calor botts on the last boat and never had trouble getting them filled, but we had 3 BIG bottles so there was never any urgency!
