Has anyone tried the Omnitron hand held gas detector? How does it perform compared to Pilot or NASA fixed detectors?

The Omnitron is a battery powered hand held device for occasional use but perhaps useful for locating leaks
The other two are fixed installations for continuously monitoring the atmosphere.
The Pilot alarms are available as single or dual channel instruments. They can also operate a remote alarm or a shut off valve.
See the respective tech specs for the detection levels if of concern.
There are others to consider.

Thanks VicS. I was planning on a fixed alarm to monitor one of the bilges until I saw the hand held and realised I could use it to check different parts of the boat. I like that idea but, regardless of its tech spec, would the little omnitron work in a marine environment? Is it robust and reliable? Did you have in mind another and better hand held unit. I have seen others but they look like toys.

I have never use Omnitron hand held gas detector, but using PID gas leak detector. I am using it from past 1 year and is working fine.
