For some time now the switch on the gas control panel occasionally and for no apparent reason clicks off. To get it to turn on again requires a ridiculous amount of patience moving it minuscule amounts at a time. As the relay is the original one (1985) I think it may be time to change it, but what am I looking for? The relay has a positive coming from the gas locker solenoid, another from the cooker, and one from the boats main electrical control panel. Any help gratefully received as it has just tripped out again and I can’t get it to reset

One of these but feel free to have a scout round for a better price.

You could just replace it with a new panel containing a thermal breaker and a toggle switch. Or wire it out completely depending on your feeder panel arrangements. It is just a fuse that supplies the ignition and gas alarm.
