Gary possibly bitten by a bug - is there a cure ?????

I had a chat with Gary a few days ago after he had returned North from the Oostend trip. It seems that he has not only bought "a sailing magazine" but has also "made enquiries to local marinas". If there is any known cure to the disease known by those afflicted to drain one of all financial means and perspective, then please post or pm him urgently.

Its either that or the ECF may about to be stretched waaaaaaaaaaaaay up north /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
 
My commiserations at your families new plight.
I am bereft at the thought of yet another mooning dreamer splurging the family silver in pursuit of a watery nirvana.

You would hae thought that a look out of the window in the frozen wastes of the north that Gary calls home, would have been enough to dissuade him from any such course.

I can only suggest he looks at tall masted ex-MFVs with a decently heated wheelhouse.

I blame the parents.
 
Offering to sell him Pipedream I and pointing him to the south in 2012 could be a cure.....


How long would it take him to get to fitted up/laying down suppers/Oostende/pirate weekend from the frozen north?
 
Jim got myself and Louise hooked on a short trip from Burnham to West Mersea, and when there was only Garry and myself awake coming up to a TSS returning from Oostende I saw his face. Half a mile out and looking at wall to wall shipping, that face said it all. He's hooked, no cure known to man now, sorry, but he will never be rich now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Might be as well he didn't come to Neuiwpoort with Roger and Mel on Still Dunno.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In my line of business (or the company I keep) never going to be rich so may as well spend it on something I know nothing about (What a thrill?!)

PS. Is this a Mac v PC thing - whenever I leave a message seems to be added to a different Forum thread that I'm replying to?!
