repair kits fine, just balancing is the issue on reassembly. Often if you mark where the bolt and shaft were aligned you can get everything fairly close, probably close enough but the main cost in a pro rebuild is in the balancing

Bite the bullet and get a pro to do it, if you get it wrong there will more than a turbo to fix. Plus there will a guarantee.

Bearing and seal kits are fine, not too difficult to replace if you're any good at pulling/pressing. But...
