Garmin USB HS Programmer win7 x64 work around?

Hi there,

I can't get the Garmin card programmer to work in windows 7 64bit. On the Garmin website is states that no drivers are available for 64 bit systems. If anyone knows of a work around to get it recognized on windows 7 64 that would be much appreciated. The plotter is a 2010C (pretty old), and is now useless until I can transfer some new charts to the data card.

In answer to my own question,

I managed to get it working by installing 'xp mode' - a virtual OS, within that I could install the drivers and mapsource and it's all working now.
