Garmin radar power connection problem

The power connection at the radar dome has the two male pins fixed under the dome, and the female socket on the incoming cable.
it started with an intermittent power loss, sorted by tightening the screw in female socket.
Then the power stopped altogether.
Eventually I’ve discovered one of the female sockets has failed so there is no connection..
There is power when using my voltmeter pins in the incoming socket presumeably as they are longer than the existing garmin pins.
There’s not mich wriggle room below the dome, mounted on a pole at the transom so its impossible to see what’s happening.
There’s bound to be a connection in there somewhere, and given the space were bigger, I’d put some aluminium foil in to potentially grip the pin, but the space is too small for that.
I dont want to cut off the plug altogether as the rejoin would be vulnerable.
And Garmin have hanged their system so they don’t have replacement parts anymore.
I thought of trying a coat of solder on the male pin but am scared of damaging any vulnerable electronics in the dome.
Garmin plugs are sealed on so can’t be easily replaced.

Assuming I’ve described the problem in an understandable manner, does anyone have a bright suggestion asto any conductor which I could get in a 2mm opening to establish electrical contact ?

not sure you cannot get a new cable for this, pretty sure you can. It's a standard 2pin power supply that garmin is using on GPSMAP4000-5000 series. I know as I have 2 such plotters and a 24HD radar and when testing I was using what was next to me.
So first step would be to get another cable, if not, hope you can lower the dome on its pole and assess the situation.
Re vulnerable electronics, nope, where it enters the dome, there's ample space for you to even remove the whole adapter if you wish, and fit a decent quality waterproof gland with a chockblock inside the dome.
Dome cover is easy to remove with iirc 8 torx.

Thanks, it appears that later models had different sized plugs.
I’ll open up the dome as suggested, and proceed with caution.
Your advice is just what I wanted to hear.
