I purchased a GPS60 on the understanding that it covered Marine Points of Interest. However when I go to the 'Find' section on the supplied 'Trip and Waypoint Manager' PC programme or 'Find' on the GPS I can't find them or an option to inculde??? Are they included under cities?
Another annoying thing is that the waypoint symbols aren't all the same on the GPS60 as they are on T&W Manager (the latter conveniently having a 'Marina' symbol the former not!!) and, worst of all , it seems the GPS60 only recognises some of the symbols that T&W Manager uses (e.g. blue flags yes, green flags no). I accept it's only black and white but it would help if there was a 'default recognition, option so T&W Manager only displayed what the unit would recognise. I put in a few on the T&W Manager only to find that when transferred to the unit they all showed up using the 'Small City' symbol. Pity too that the the GPS60 doesn't contain any descriptions of the waypoint symbols until you actually use one and then call up the waypoint in a list!!! With about 150 or so it's a lot to go through on trial and error. As useful as an ashtray on a motor bike in that regard.
Whilst only intended as a back up I'm not sure the GPS60 was the best choice (despite a recent review indicating it was!!!).
