The boats 152 works perfectly. The transponder is attached to a rail immediately above the wheelhouse, and the cable run is about 5 feet. The previous owner has neatly coiled the 10 metres of coax and attached it to the wall! Is it OK to cut the cable and fit a new BNC connector, or is it tuned to the length of cable?

These can be cut to length and have a new BNC connector fitted.
