Garmin GPS 182 c problem

I was just getting used to the 182 when its screen went blank.
It still switches on, beeps when the keys are pressed, but nothing visible on the screen.
Even after it was switched off and on again.

What could be wrong?

Sure it's not a 128?
Sounds like a screen problem unless the backlight and/or contrast is turned up/down too far. Even with the antenna detached you should get screen info.
Garmin tech help dept are very helpfull although they can take a day or two to respond. Email address is on their web site, you need to email them first to get a job number before you send it to them.

Yes, it isa 182 chartplotter.
I have sent Garmin an e mail, I hadn't noticed that possibility on their website, so thanks.

You can make the screen go dim by pressing and holding the on/off button. It has never happen to mine as far as I can recall. A great wee bit of kit.
