Anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram for the connector on a Garmin Fishfinder 140 or similar?
Knew I was going to break the connector one of those days ... reckon I could fix it if I had a pin-out diagram to work from.

Thanks guys. The pinout on the 300C is different - the 140 has one pin fewer and at least 6 of the connector pin locations are populated.
Unfortunately the 90/140 manual does not have a similar diagram.

Tantalisingly close, but not quite there yet. Going by the pin numbering on the allpinouts link, pins 1,2,12 & 16 were definitely used, along with two others that may be 9 & 15.

I don't think I can help more in that case mate other than the 140 has the same pinout as the 160 blue and the 90 according to the Garmin site..

Question: Will the power cable and transducer from my Fishfinder 160 Blue work with the newer Fishfinders?

Answer:
The power cable and transducer from the Garmin Fishfinder 160 Blue will work with the Fishfinder 90, 140 and 160c. The plug and transducer connections that the Fishfinder 160 Blue uses are the same as the connections that are the supplied with the current models of Fishfinder, apart from the 300 and 400c. The power cable and transducer is included with the Fishfinder 160c.

you could also put a question in to the all pinout site or Garmin and ask them I guess.

sorry I can't help further

Thanks oGaryo - you've been a great help.
I'm 90% confident that I can tell where the other 2 pins were connected, so I may just take a flyer and see if it works. I wish they hadn't hardwired the cables for these models to the transducers, as a replacement costs about as much as a new fishfinder.
This connector has a nice big knurled ring on it, so the temptation is to grab it and twist the whole connector. In fact, the ring should be backed off and the connector pulled straight off. It was bound to happen one day.

Hi there - I have decoded the pinouts for this unit and they are as follows.
My diagrams can be found here.

Hi, I have a broken connector on my Garmin fishfinder 90, and because I have got a new connector, I'm looking for a pinout diagram.
Did you find it? Could you help me? Thank You.
