Garmin Etrex to Raymarine 54E DSC

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to link these two together. The booklet with the Garmin refers to nmea in and out, but the Raymarine book says Nmea Out + and Nmea Out - for the interface.

Any input would be welcome.

Connect the eTrex white wire to the 54E yellow wire. Connect the eTrex black wire to the 54E green wire. Go into the eTrex's Set-up menu, then the Interface menu and select "NMEA OUT". Should then work.

I have a Garmin GPS 12 to a Raymarine 54E. Agree with the advice above. I had to experiment with the comms rate on the GPS to get it working ... Not sure if there are options on the Etrex?
