Garmin E-Trek 10 best settings for Marine Use

Hi I have a garmin E-Trek 10 handheld GPS unit and wondering what the best settings for basic marine use as a portable unit although I have a Chartplotter and obvs charts but thought as I have the E-Trek I might put it to use
