Another instance of excellent service from this company.

Had reason to return a GPS48 handheld back to Garmin as the memory support battery was failing. The lithium battery was guaranteed for 10 years and the unit approx 4 years old.

I was expecting this to be replaced by a factory re-con unit. Unfortunately these were out of stock so my GPS48 was replaced with the latest model GPS76.

Super service GARMIN.

Super new toy.

Must go away and play.

I've had similar experience. Made me buy more Garmin product.

Why can't other manufacturers learn from this?

I wish I'd had the same response, two water proof hand helds gave up in the rain due to moisture ingress and they said I could buy a new one!
I thought they might be interested to find out how so called waterproof units had failed and maybe repair them, they didn't even take tem apart as far as I can tell.
Maybe tere are two Garmins?

Think you may have had the same Garmin that introduced a plotter and sold lots, and then updated their system and brought out a new plotter with new chart cartographics, so stopped supporting all the old ones! If you just want a handheld without any of the new fancy bells and whistles, I might consider a garmin, but if I wanted a new plotter there is no way that I would even look at Garmin!

I had the same excellent service.

I have had three 45s and I am on my second 210. ( They must put them together so cheaply that they can give them away! )

But I wouldn't buy another Garmin product because I have an G Chart Plotter and they have left thousands of customers unsupported.

If one buys a Blue Chart plotter you could be in the same position because they will not guaranttee the period of support. They stopped promoting the G Chart one year before they stopped supporting them and they are still on chandlers shelves.

Don't know about their plotters, but I had unbelievably good service on an old Garmin 75 a couple of years ago. What a contrast with Yoeman and their idea of customer serice!

PS Autohelm can be pretty damned good as well.
