I am shortly off for two weeks to the caribbean. Sailing around St. Vincent /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif and would like to take Garmin Bluecharts for my handheld GPSmap 76cx. Cant seem to get anyone to supply them, have emailed several internet companies, but as usual in the boating industry they dont bother to reply.

Any suggestions, anybody?

Doug.

It may be your deadline which is putting them off, not that there is an excuse for not replying. Are all marine workers really rude?

Your best bet may be to get one from the US, where the dealers don't need to get them written especially - it should be possible to get one with three day delivery and the strength of the pound may save you money.

Have a look here for the right product id: Garmin US

Malthouse, I havn't given a deadline. I don't think that they are being rude, just that many marine companies seem to be run in an amateurish way, and just dont get around to answering their emails.

mind you I emailed Garmin several times over a month ago and still no reply from them either! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
