Garmin 48 Software

I've lost the disk that came with my 48 a couple of years ago and have changed pc.
Garmin want £78 for their cheapest map s/w and I only want the option to enter Lat & Long & names on the pc using windows 2000 or 95. Anyone got any ideas?

Download the trial version of Oziexplorer from http://www.oziexplorer.com/ it is excellent and free. I have even scanned charts and maps in and taken co-ords off them and sent them straight into the GPS. It is worthwhile teaching yourself about map grids as they are far easier to use than Lat/Long. I've got two Garmin 48's. Neither came with software. Was your s/ware an extra purchase?

It appears as if it was part of a package offered by the shop at the time (along with rechargeable batteries)
