I decided to update my Blue vision chart and proceeded to download the latest software update onto an SD card. On downloading to the chartplotter, I seem to have lost my map ie it looks like I have the world map up. Other symptoms are the map is out of focus but other functions like AIS threats are visible.
Have I downloaded the wrong software bundle, have I not downloaded correctly or something else.
If anyone can guide me through the process it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
PS if all else fails I will context Garmin support on Monday, but it would be helpful to be up and running for tomorrow. The suns shining:D

I take it you downloaded the up date onto a different sd card and not onto your chart card. Then this card is put into your plotter and the software update is uploaded to the plotter. The update sd card should now be removed and the chart sd card reinserted.

Thanks Aquatom you could have provided the solution. I purchased an SD card and loaded the Eula file and then downloaded the software onto this card and then onto the chartplotters which was where my problems started. The original SD card reads on my computer 6 files, two labelled "updates" and "gupdate.gcd" dated 18/6/2014 and the rest are dated 28/9/2012 which was the first install date. I assume the original cardnis what needs to be re installed onto the chartplotter.
Does the network all need to be on before inserting the card or off. Does the second chartplotter get updated automatically or loadmed with the card independently. Lastly the software bundle downloaded from Garmin uk was headed Marine Device Software Updates and then Chartplotters with SD car. Thanks Geoff
