1) the voltage displayed is about 0.5 low, is there a way to calibrate it ?
it's hooked up straight on the fuse board

2) i use a waypoint to give an bearing to tack / gybe on, this results in a dirty great big orange line starting at the point i first asked for the bearing
a) i don't like the line - it doesn't keep track of my current position either
b) is there another way of getting a dynamic bearing ?

many thanks, Simon

First thing is to determine if whatever other gauge you're using is accurate. Put a meter across the battery and compare that to your other gauge.

The voltage problem could be caused by a dirty connection on the power or ground side. If you used a volt meter across the power and ground wires on the connector to the unit, you'll likely find that the display is accurate. Then you just need to determine if the voltage drop is on the power or ground side.

Test both the power and ground with a voltmeter between the connector and the battery. One or the other is likely to show less voltage than you read straight across the battery. Start chasing from that point.
