Garmin 152

Can anybody help. My gps powers up ok and shows that it is receiving satalites but does not show a position.Is there a master reset or should i contact Garmin.

What happens when you press the PAGE or QUIT buttons?

How many satellites are showing up with good signal?

We have a Garmin 152 and there is no default position display. You can display the position (frozen) when you press the nav/mob key or you can configure the data display on compass or map pages as described on page 16 and 22/23 of the manual. We dont bother - we use the computer display or the radio to display continuously updated postion. This GPS interfaces very well with the computer and complex routes can be uploaded to it and followed using the excellent compass display mode.

thanks everyone for your input, a friend had a problem turning the set off and somehow adjusted the loran td function all is now ok
