Garmin 120XL to Yeoman - cable colours?

The instructions in both the Yeoman and Garmin handbooks have the Garmin cable colours different from those on my Garmin. Instructions say Blue Garmin to White Yeoman and Brown Garmin to Green Yeoman. I have data cables on my Garmin that are Yellow, Brown, Green and White.

Garmin can't help me - they don't have a wiring diagram for the scheme I have - just tell me to find the NMEA out and in. So how do I do that - gave up after 30 mins of trial and error.

Any ideas?

Check yoiu have the Garmin set-up as nmea/nmea. Red and black are obvious (+12, 0v). Then only two other cables that you are interested in.

Starting with the obvious, the blue and brown cables may have been cut tight back and hidden. If not find which ever cable is connected to pin 3 on the Garmin plug and connect that to white on the Yeoman, and pin 4 to Yeoman green.
