Hi Guys. Yesterday while hauling my boat at the ramp i used a wrench to unplug ( Unscrew ) the drain plug ( Plug same as picture ). However while unscrewing , the flange where the plug screw in, made a slight movement with the turn. Arrived home and noticed fasteners where not torqued completely and the silicone round the flange was taken out easily. Would you recommend using a strong adhesive like the 3m 5200 which says apply for permanent fixes and buy a spare plug just in case i lose the one i have? Also Will put 3m 5200 for screws to harden in holes.
Another question. Whilst i have the drain plug out would you recommend to change the plug to a stainless steel one or the brass or bronze would be ok regarding Galvanic corrosion issues ( near outboard )? I boat in saltwater.
