I would like to re-galvanise an Anchor. The cost is a little prohibitive as galvanisers tend to work on volume. Does the hive mind have any recommendations of companies that may do small batches or offer good rates. The best I’ve found to date is £160 which is a long way to the cost of a new anchor. Based in the Solent.

Try calling a local trailer manufacturer - they send trailer bodies off to be galvanised. Some blacksmiths do as well.

Your nearest Galvanizer is probably in Eastleigh.

They will have many customers, and one of them will do as jwilson suggests (below) add your anchor to their order. You need almost any steel fabricator. Blacksmith, manufacturer of fencing, railings, machinery structural steel, balconies etc. If you find one big enough the addition of an anchor will be of minimal cost to them (perhaps 40-50 pence per kg) and it might be easier to give them a gift. (perhaps a glass wrapped type!)
