Yes! I have owned #208 for about 7 years. I was told it was made in '72. It has the Vire 6 BVR engine which still works well. I sail on Lough Derg in Ireland.

Re: Galion 22\'

David, Thanks very much for your reply, mine is 1971,I dont know it's #,it was imported new by a mr michael mayers , he has gone to the great beyond, after him two other owners and I have owned it for the past eight years. It is the only one that ever came here. I am very pleased with it.It made trips to Martinique and the Grenadines, [with Mayers] but I normally go to the Grenadines ,with an old boyhood friend who sails a 37' finn sailer out of Trinidad, I have an outboard 15hp yamaha,I would love to be able one day to have a yanmar 1Gm10 fitted, hopefully I may come across someone who has undertaken such a task on one.Is there a little Galion club in uk.I sail in Barbados waters.hope to hear you again.David

If you would like to see a new 6.5HP diesel for the galion I've just put one on the galion 22 owners website ( www.galion.free-online.co.uk ). Perhaps you could become a member. It's free and the more people we get the more use "The Galion 22 Owners Association" becomes to Galion owners.

Ah now, I think I might have put a picture of your boat onto The Galion 22 Owners Association website. (www.galion.free-online.co.uk) I may have picked it up before you bought it. I hope this is alright. I would like you to be a member, its free and with no obligations. The more people who join the more use the Association will be to Galion owners.
