imported by Tameside Marine I think - http:// www.tameside.co.uk should have some answers for you although that would be the Galia 660 produced by Galeon - maybe yours is something different? http://www.galeon.com.pl/ is the manufacturer I am thinking about.

Hi
There is Galion 22 listed in "Buying Secondhand" designed by Ian Hanny ( believe he is a Scot and once a member of RFYC) and built by Robert Ives in UK.
The plus points are good vice free performance, close winded, well balanced and stiff, good build quality and good accomodation. against were minor matters regarding toilet position and mainsheet lead over companionway.
Price in 1992 ranged from £3500 to £4500, around these figures is about right.
It is a good starter boat,
Regards

Hi Duncan
Your try was quite understandable, there were not many of these produced, but there was a big sister called Galion 28, one of which is afloat at Granton, has an interesting cruiser stern and vast accomodation, a real party boat that sails better than a Centaur, the Galion 22 is rated by Byron at 1076 which is quite quick for a small boat.
