What do your local Coastguards do?
I hear two Coast guard stations, and they usually do it differently.
When the Met Office issue a gale warning for your local area, does your Coastguard broadcast it on VHF on receipt, or do they wait until the next scheduled broadcast, which may be in four hours time?
When your Coastguard give out a Gale Warning, do they give the Sea Area first, or do they give the time of issue, followed by the area?
I must say that I find it quite frustrating to be given the time of issue first, and then find that the warning refers to some sea area hundreds of miles away.
