Gaff schooner Hoshi...where is she now?

I recall a Des Sleighthome article in Yachting Monthly, back in the days when the mag had that lovely marbled cover paper. (Bring it back, IPC! I'll take out a subscription if you do!) The article was about the Edwardian (I think) gaff schooner HOSHI, 70' long and very slender, much abused in days before her singular beauty would have represented a marketing feature, for tour bosses. Photographs in the article showed her, past and present, and she seemed at the time to be going strong. That was the early 'nineties, I think. Does anyone know where/if she sails now?

Hoshi

You might try the Island Cruising Club in Salcombe - the schooner Hoshi and Brixham sailing trawler Provident were their top boats in the 60's when I sailed with them - every trip it was l'Aberwrach or bust!

Thanks for that; I now recall some mention of the ICC in the old Yachting Monthly article. The ICC website certainly shows what a beauty-spot Salcombe is, but I'm curious about where the Island is, from their title! No mention of Hoshi on their homepage, but doubtless staff there will know...

In France under restoration I believe and was due to be re-launched last year
