A former TransPac racer from the 1960's down on her luck. Crossed the Pond in the 70's and got tied up in some dispute over yard fees resulting in her being slowly stripped and left to rot.

The keel, presumably lead, is melted down no doubt. Iron frames are rotten. Interior stripped out and probably used to fit out other yachts. Her masts are still on the racks though.

She's just a bit to much of a step-up from my wee Hillyard.

Not a lot left. You would need massive pockets to bring it back to its former glory.

A sad sight. Just one of so many fine yachts full of character decaying quietly away.

Still - very cheering to look at your website and see what you have achieved with Mariposa, :)
