i have just mentioned to my neighbour ( a top flight interior decorator ), that i was stripping varnish.,his comment was wallpaper paste strips varnish,so i assume its the water content & much cheaper than the B&Q Diall ( excellent it is too ) i bought for £28 for 5 lts
