Fuse

New boat has a bank of screw cap fuses on a 12v system which takes 20mm x 5mm glass fuses. Wanting to get some spares in I checked the rating stamped on the end cap and they all say 250v. This is what the readily available ones all seem to be but are they correct for a 12 v system? Also I assume I need fast blow for general fuses rather than slow blow. TIA.

Don't worry about the 250V part, they'll be fine at any lower voltage. As for the slow or fast blow, it will depend on the equipment running off the circuit, e.g. an inducive moter will have a higher start up current so it is normal to use a slow blow to cope but I believe most electronics use a fast blow.
