Furuno NAVnet 3D vs Garmin 4000 series. What to buy?

About to install new nav gear. Both appear about the same in terms of functionality based on the brochures. Furuno is 2k more expensive than Garmin. Is it 2k better quality? Does any one have experience or a good understanding of the difference that could give me guidance as to whether it is worth spending the extra $ for the Furuno gear?

The Furuno kit is better quality. Check out any commercial fishing boat to see what radar's they sport - Furuno. Also the Navnet 3d stuff is the latest and greatest and has a very intuitive interface (whether you need 3d is another question.). For me the winning feature with Furuno is that you can network it with a PC running Maxsea and share everything (charts, radar etc..).
