I have A GPS50 Mk11 and need to make up an extension lead. I'm not sure of the identity of the plug on the end of the aerial lead - it is about the same size as a BNC connector but is threaded not turn & lock. Anyone know the correct description of plug type or where I can buy a made up 5m extension?

I get all my Furuno kit from Greenham Regis who are Furuno dealers. The Furuno leads are horrendously expensive though - I paid £38 for a 3m Furuno cable with a six pin plug on the end. Call Greenham Regis on 01590 671144. They are in Southampton, Lymington & Poole.

This could be a TNC - T = thread, B = bayonet.

Try Maplin or somewhere like it to find out - they should have some on the shelf. Better quality connectors are available from RS or Farnell. You'll have to make the cable up yourself but it'll save a fortune.
