Furuno GP-1610C chartplotter - what cards?

Hope someone can help me out here. The boat I have just purchased has a Furuno GP-1610C chartplotter. Unfortunately, the previous owners used it in the Irish Sea which is no use to me in the Solent, so I need a new chart card. Problem is, I'm not certain which type it takes. The Irish Sea ones are Furuno own brand but from atrawl round various web sites, I am guessing that they are actually Navionics Microchart cards. Does anyon here have one of these units and know for certain? I have emailed Furuno to assk them but with the collected knowledge on this forum, I'm guessing asking here will be quicker /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've got one of these but for the Med which is a tad warmer than the Irish Sea. Be interested in the answer to Taxi_Vader's question as well.

I don't believe you can buy or get these updated anymore. I tried about a year ago - called Navionics/Furuno etc. I ended up buying a new plotter - Not a Furuno or Navionics one though. Sorry /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
