Hi all,
I'm upgrade an FI50 wind display to FI70. I need to instal an FinmeaFi analog converter between the wind instrument and the FI70.
I don't have a backbone installed, all the sensors go straight through a furuno junction box, so the first qs is: one end of the analog converter is bare wire, this connects to the wind sensor drop cable. However there are 2 black wires in the converter bundle. From the manul diagram one black goes to the wind sensor and one is called a drain. How do I know which black is which and what do I connect the drain to?
Second qs, the other end of the converter has the standard 5 pin socket for the backbone connection. Can I cut this off and then wire it directly into the furuno junction box?
