This post was promted by a post on one of the other forums about a different Furuno weather fax system.
I thought I'd share some of the information I obtained at the LBS regarding Furuno's wonderful Fax-30 weatherfax add-on for their NavNet system. Weather fax data can be viewed via any NavNet display connected to the system. It can also be viewed on any monitor with a VGA input with the addition of a video output card.
All good stuff but a hard copy would be useful right? Simply connect a laptop via it's ethernet port to the NavNet hub. This allows you to "connect" to the Fax-30 via a standard web browser. Then save the image, and print using any old compact printer connected to the laptop.
Of course, there is the small matter of buying the NavNet system in the first place, but there are so many other features and benefits I think it's unique in the marketplace.
For more information check out the site (not brilliant) or the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.furunousa.com>Furuno USA site (much better).
I have no association or interest in Furuno. I'm just looking forward to getting my NavNet system when my boat arrives in April /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
