I have managed to aquire an old weatherfax that doesn't seem to want to work , anyone know the model ?

I have 13.4Volts going in but nothing seemed to work , so I opened it up and found the other end of the power cable not connected to anything . The power plug doesn't seem to be the right type to connect to the board and I'm thinking that another board is missing , so if anyone knows the inside layout of these , please step forward

How old......if steam driven then has to be conigured for the right frequencies....either crystals or synthesiser. and then connected to a decent antenna for MF and switched on at the right times of the day...

There are non stop faxes on 4608 USB though this covers marine and aeronautical.

Definately steam driven and when I get it to turn on I'll have to configure the frequencies , and it's on a fifteen metre passive wire aerial

Is it the same as this, here amongst the other antique instruments?:

If so then we have one and it works great and is well worth having. Can send you a PDF of the manual, including internals and circuit diagrams etc. if that's any help.

Ok - but can't do that until next weekend.

Meanwhile I've put the big manual with the internal schematics here should you want to download it (2.5mb).

Downloaded and saved , thanks , I have a feeling that there's supposed to be a power supply board inside but it doesn't show as a seperate board on the diagram , so a pic of the insides would be brilliant , thanks
